MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION DEGREE
Major in Personal Financial Planning (MBA-PFP)


A major in personal financial planning is offered in the Robinson College of Business Flexible MBA program. A concentration is not offered.

Completion of the MBA with a PFP major will satisfy the education requirement for the Certified Financial Planner™ designation.

The PFP major consists of these seven courses in addition to the basic requirements for the MBA degree:

PFP 8400 Personal Financial Planning
PFP 8420 Individual Retirement Planning
PFP 8460 Estate Planning
PFP 8520 Advanced Studies in Personal Financial Planning
Fi 8000 Valuation of Financial Assets
Fi 8240 Global Portfolio Management
RMI 8200 Life Insurance

The MBA/PFP major also requires students to have completed a course equivalent to Acct 4510 Introduction to Federal Income Taxation with a minimum grade of C. See the description in the Course Descriptions chapter of the latest Undergraduate Catalog.
