Susan Willey is an associate professor of legal studies in the Department of Risk Management and Insurance at Georgia State University, where she teaches undergraduate and graduate courses legal environment and business law courses. She also coordinates the hiring of part-time legal studies instructors for the department and staffing more than 70 sections of legal studies courses offered annually. Professor Willey is a member of the Academy of Legal Studies in Business (ALSB) and the Southeast regional. In 2001 she served as the Executive Editor of the Journal of Legal Studies in Business.

Professor Willey has published numerous business cases on employment law, as well as tax penalties articles aimed at practitioners. In 2001, she won the ALSB's Ralph C. Hoeber Award for the outstanding article in the Journal of Legal Studies Education for an article on integrating economic analysis into undergraduate business law courses. Her current research interests include employment discrimination law and strategies to promote deeper learning in undergraduate students. She serves on the GSU Writing Across the Curriculum Committee and is a member of the GSU Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Project Group.

Before joining the GSU faculty in 1999, Professor Willey taught business law classes at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. She also served as the UW-L Affirmative Action Officer in 1995 and 1996. Professor Willey is a past president of the Midwest Academy of Legal Studies in Business, a former board member of the Midwest Society for Case Research, and a former member of the Advisory Council for the Midwest Business Administration Association.
